The 2nd Mount TAI Forum of Ophthalmology Was Held Successfully

On July 21 and 22, the 2nd Mount TAI Forum of Ophthalmology & Training in Standardized Operation of Corneal Transplantation hosted by Shandong Provincial Clinical Medical Center and Shandong Eye Hospital were successfully held in the academic lecture hall on the 14th floor of Shandong Eye Hospital.

The meeting was hosted by Hua GAO, the deputy director of Shandong Eye Institute and the vice president of Shandong Eye Hospital. Prof. Weiyun SHI, the chairman of the conference, gave a welcome speech. Prof. Zhiqiang PAN, Prof. Zuguo LIU, Prof. Yifei HUANG, Prof. Weiyun SHI, Prof. Jianjiang XU, Prof. Ying LI, Prof. Peiying XIE, Prof. Xingtao ZHOU are the representatives of the Authorities Sharing Sub-forum; Prof. Yibin HUANG, Prof. Yan FANG are the representatives of the Clinical Scientific Research Sub-forum; Prof. Wei CHEN, Prof. Ting WANG, Prof. Liqiang WANG, Prof. Ying JIE, Prof. Hong ZHANG, Prof. Lijun ZHANG, Prof. Guigang LI, Prof. Jin YUAN, Prof. Xiuming JIN, Prof. Hua GAO, Associated Prof. Xiaolin QI, Associated Prof. Min CHEN, Associated Prof. Mingna LIU and Associated Prof. Fuhua WANG are the representatives of Yong Talents Sub-forum; Prof. Xiaoyi XU, Prof. Lei HU, Associated Prof. Suxia LI gave wonderful lessons and lectures as representatives of Scientific Research Forum of Chief Physicians. The conference attracted more than 300 ophthalmologists, making it one of the few large ophthalmology forums in Shandong province.

The Mount TAI Forum of Ophthalmology is a new form for academic communication of ophthalmology. Based on the comprehensive summary of the experience of the 1st Mount TAI Forum of Ophthalmology, this conference enriches its contents, covering five aspects: cornea and ocular surface, the standardized construction of eye bank, clinical scientific research, refractive surgery and contact lens. We intend to gather the experts to share the essence of ophthalmology, invite the young physicians to show the new strength of the profession, find the regional strong points to gather strengths and explore different ideas to promote the academic prosperity. We aim to accelerate the development of the cornea and ocular surface field, the clinical scientific research, the refractive surgery and standardized construction of eye bank.

On the conference, the ophthalmologists from all over the country seized the rare opportunity to learn from experts and actively raised questions to the experts. Experts answered questions carefully with patience.

As a new try in the form of academic conference of ophthalmology, the Mount TAI Forum of Ophthalmology has been held for two years. It has shown strong vitality and vigor, so we believe that it will continue to make contributions to the academic development of ophthalmology.
