3月10日上午，山东省眼科医院举办2018世界青光眼周大型公益活动。活动现场，由山东省眼科医院副院长王婷教授进行健康讲座，并组织前来参加活动的市民进行义诊。

本次活动共吸引近百位市民参与，大家首先观看了王婷教授做客山东电视台录制的青光眼防治专题节目，而后，王婷来到现场，深入浅出的为大家讲解了青光眼的详细知识，王婷教授讲到：2018年3月11-17日作为第十一个世界青光眼周，今年的主题是：早查监控、守护光明！世界青光眼周是由世界青光眼联合会和世界青光眼患者联合会共同发起的一项全球性行动，旨在提高青光眼的知晓率。全球范围的青光眼医生将联合组织系列活动，为世界范围的青光眼患者提供宣教或义诊,希望能通过筛查早期发现。

青光眼就如同一辆没有倒车档的车，对于周边视力及中心视力的损害是进行性的，仅就目前医疗水平来讲，大多数青光眼患者是不能够被彻底治愈的；但是，医生可以利用手中掌握的“刹车档”，控制疾病的发展。

如果能够早期发现，早期诊断，并在医生的指导下进行科学合理的治疗，那么有可能降低青光眼的致盲率。早期诊断和早期治疗是减轻青光眼危害的关键，大家一定要提高对青光眼的认识，尽早预防和治疗。

青光眼直系亲属的人群，其患有青光眼的风险将可能超过常人的10倍，青光眼患者直系亲属更要提高警惕。此外，高血压、糖尿病、高度近视等均为青光眼高危人群。精神压力大，工作节奏快，思虑过多，好生闷气或大发脾气，长期用眼疲劳，在过暗的光线下长时间阅读，甚至习惯在极暗的背景下看电视等等都可能成为青光眼发病的环境诱因。在王婷教授的讲解下，大家对青光眼有了更加准确的认知，来参加活动的市民卞阿姨在听完讲座后立即给女儿打电话：“专家介绍了，不能总在黑暗环境里看手机，你一定得注意！”另一位刘阿姨说：“我一看到医院的通知就赶紧报名了，专家讲的很透彻，真是受益匪浅，希望省眼科医院多举办这样的活动，老百姓真的能通过这样的活动受益！”

Our Hospital Held a Large Public Service Activity During World Glaucoma Week

On the morning of March 10, Shandong Eye Hospital held a large public service activity for World Glaucoma Week 2018. Prof. Ting WANG, the vice president of Shandong Eye Hospital, gave a health lecture and organized free diagnoses for the citizens participating the activity.

The activity attracted about one hundred citizens. Firstly, the participants watched a video taken when Prof. WANG was on the glaucoma prevention and treatment program of Shandong Radio and TV Station. Then, Prof. WANG came to give a detailed introduction to glaucoma. According to the lecture given by Prof. WANG, this year’s World Glaucoma Week is scheduled for March 11-17, 2018. The theme this year is Green = Go get your eyes tested for Glaucoma: Save Your Sight! This collaborative project between the World Glaucoma Association and the World Glaucoma Patient Association contributes to the elimination of glaucoma blindness by alerting people to have regular eye checks. Glaucoma specialists worldwide organize activities to provide education services and free diagnoses for glaucoma patients. The earlier the diagnosis, the less damage done and the more vision there is to save.

As we all know, relying on the present medical level, most glaucoma patients cannot be completely cured. However, doctors can try to slow down the progress of glaucoma. Early diagnosis and treatment may reduce the possibility of glaucoma leading to blindness.

As the immediate family members of a glaucoma patient are at a high risk for glaucoma, which may be 10 times higher than that of normal people, the family members should step up their vigilance. In addition, people with hypertension, diabetes and high myopia are all high-risk groups for glaucoma. Some factors may also lead to glaucoma, such as psychological stress, hot temper, asthenopia and so on. The participants learned a lot from this activity and shared the knowledge with their family members actively.
