作为全球顶级眼科大会之一，2017年美国眼科学会年会（AAO）于11月11日在美国新奥尔良纪念会议中心（Morial Convention Center）正式开幕。大会吸引了全球各地的近万名眼科医生交流互动，会议空前盛大，万人瞩目。会上，山东省眼科研究所所长、山东省眼科医院院长、中华医学会眼科学分会常委、角膜病学组组长史伟云教授被授予美国眼科学会成就奖，成为中国大陆第三位获此殊荣的眼科专家，同时标志着山东省眼科研究所成为国内唯一拥有两位获得美国眼科学会成就奖专家的单位（谢立信院士于2008年获得该奖，为首位获得该奖的大陆眼科专家）。

美国眼科学会成立于1980年，是世界上最大的眼科学会，会员已超过30000人，其中国际会员8000多人，拥有极大的国际学术影响力。美国眼科学会设立该奖用来表彰积极参与年会学术活动并为学会及眼科学发展作出突出贡献的个人。

在美国眼科学会年会期间，史伟云教授受邀参加第二届美中角膜病论坛并进行演讲，在演讲中介绍了数例极具挑战性的、难治的Mooren角膜溃疡穿孔病例。现场的外国专家评论：“史伟云教授展示的手术录像充分表现了他对治疗角膜疑难病例的深思熟虑，以及他高超的手术技术，令人钦佩！”

Prof. Weiyun SHI Received the Achievement Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology

As one of the leadings ophthalmology meetings in the world, the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) 2017 Annual Meeting was held during November 11-14 at Morial Convention Center, New Orleans. The meeting attracted nearly 10,000 ophthalmologists from all over the world, making it an unprecedented grand meeting. At the meeting, Prof. Weiyun SHI, who is the director of Shandong Eye Institute, the president of Shandong Eye Hospital, a member of the Standing Committee of the Ophthalmology Society of Chinese Medical Association and the leader of the Corneal Disease Group, received the Achievement Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology, becoming the third ophthalmologist in Chinese mainland who won this award. As Academician Lixin XIE of our institute has received this award in 2008, being the first ophthalmologist in Chinese mainland that winning the award, Shandong Eye Institute becomes the only unit in China that has two experts winning the Achievement Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

The American Academy of Ophthalmology, founded in 1980, is the world’s largest association of eye physicians and surgeons, having more than 30,000 members, over 8,000 of whom are international members. The Achievement Award program, organized by the American Academy of Ophthalmology, recognizes individuals who participate in the scientific programs at the annual meeting and make great contributions to the Academy and to ophthalmology.

During the annual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Prof. SHI was invited to the US-China Cornea Forum and delivered a speech, in which he introduced several challenging and difficult Mooren’s ulceration cases. Foreign experts participating in the forum commented: “The video of the surgeries performed by Prof. SHI fully demonstrates his thoughtful considerations on the treatment of difficult cases. His excellent surgical skills are admirable.”
